Sheraton Milwaukee Brookfield Hotel

I was at the hotel for a conference, and the stay was awful. The room stayed above 79 degrees for the first three days, making sleep almost impossible. We called every day and were told someone would come, but nobody did. They initially couldn't move us because there were no rooms. On the third day it was over 80, and after some conference attendees left, they finally moved us. The new room had a much better temperature, but no soap at all, just two shampoos in the shower and one conditioner, without even a bar of soap. Staff were okay and smiled sometimes, but the language barrier was intense. Some spoke no English and could barely understand our questions. Food was just okay, the facility needs a makeover, and the conference rooms were fine. Other attendees said their rooms wouldn't get above 58 and they were freezing. The hotel needs a complete heating and AC overhaul.

I called at 8 pm to confirm the outdoor pool would be open before booking for the next day, and was told it was running. When I arrived, it was closed. Over the weekend, I'd previously been told too many chemicals had been put in the pool, so I held off booking then. I called again and was assured it was up and running, which is why I booked. Disappointed that the information wasn't accurate.

My husband and I stayed from February 19 to February 23. There was a strong marijuana smell inside and outside the building as soon as we arrived. The next day I developed ringworm under my eye and a rash behind my legs. At checkout I told the manager, who asked me to send a doctor's note. I did, and it clearly says I have some kind of fungus, but I haven't heard back. I'd like a refund. The sheets and towels didn't smell like bleach at all. When I asked if they used bleach, he said he didn't know because that wasn't his department. How can you manage a hotel without knowing whether the sheets and towels used daily are being disinfected?

Kinga and Izabela are great workers. They look after me every morning at breakfast and with my coffee, and they're polite, kind, and efficient. Knowing they'll get my coffee just right each day is one of the main reasons I stay.
