Comfort Inn Brooklyn Center

Comfort Inn Brooklyn Center 2200 Freeway Blvd, Brooklyn Park. The manager or supervisor, possibly the owner’s son, was extremely rude and unprofessional. I saw them arguing with guests in the lobby. Breakfast was advertised as free, but none was available. They blamed an egg shortage and a broken refrigerator. There was no hot water on the sixth floor. I was told it just took time to get up there and to let it run for a bit. I did that for 30 minutes with no change. They moved me down four floors to the second floor, in the same location, but the water still wasn’t hot. When I said I was unhappy and wanted to leave, they said they couldn’t refund me and that I had to contact my booking agent, with more excuses. Be very careful when booking. They won’t reimburse you for their negligence and poor hotel management.

We stayed three days for a wedding and never got housekeeping or fresh towels. I had to ask at the desk for towels myself. The pool was supposed to be heated, but the water was ice cold, and breakfast was very limited. After checkout, they added $35 to our bill and said it was for damage. They claimed housekeeping found “BM” on the sheet and spots on the comforter. I guess greasy tacos and chocolate candy that look like BM aren’t allowed to spill on the bed. I’ll never stay at a Comfort Inn again, especially this one.

The elevator broke down every day I was there, and getting towels through room service took repeated calls. At check-in, a team member said the mini fridge had been taken from my room. I waited 25 minutes, then went back up and asked to switch rooms because they still couldn’t find it. They also charged me $30 for supposedly stained towels, even though I couldn’t see any stains. Don’t they have soap and bleach to wash towels anyway, even if something did stain them? It felt like a disgusting lie. This was the worst hotel stay I’ve ever had. If you know what’s good for you, don’t waste time booking here.

The only real drawback was the escalator in the main lobby, which seemed unsafe, so I had to take the cargo escalator. Aside from that, I enjoyed my four nights at Brooklyn Center. The room was clean and cozy, with a big-screen TV, and breakfast was fine. Henry at the front desk was consistently helpful.
