LIVN - West Loop Chicago

The apartment was big, with two rooms and great amenities, though the walls are very thin. They also had extra toiletries and coffee in case you run out. We ended up here after an issue at another building they own, and the team moved us over. I worked in hospitality for 20 years, and getting this kind of service from a remote team still gives me chills. Check-in was smooth, and the app is great, so be sure to download it. Checkout was easy, including the baggage. Just move quickly to get a locker, since some people had reserved theirs the night before.

Everything was spotless, and the spacious apartment was quiet and clean. The kitchen had plenty of room, as did the rest of the place, and the bed and pillows were incredibly soft. There was even a bathtub in the bathroom. I also liked being able to sign into Netflix, Hulu, and other streaming services on the TV. A perfect 10/10 for me. I'll definitely stay here again next trip.

The room was spacious and on the 5th floor, looking out over the rear car park, so it was quiet. The kitchen was well equipped with a cooktop, microwave, and large refrigerator, though we didn't need the fridge. Codes for the building and room were convenient, and the location was good for transport. We'd use it again. The area didn't seem that safe at night. We had to drag our big bags up a few steps before reaching the elevator. Gaps in the floor and walls let sound through from adjoining rooms. It wasn't a problem, but we could clearly hear someone coughing below us, and wondered what they could hear from us. The self-storage lockers looked small, and I wasn't sure it would be easy to get one. We didn't try, since we checked in well after the earliest time.

Very spacious room, a whole kitchen, clean and well-kept bathrooms, and a super comfortable bed. Those are the three things I look for when choosing a place. I decided to stay in Chicago one more night and quickly found a very reasonable last-minute price, about $170 for one night. I always come back to Sonder when I travel, especially Solo Dolo, and would definitely return here. The location was great, a couple of blocks over the bridge from live music, bars, and restaurants. Walgreens and a pharmacy were nearby for essentials. The neighborhood felt very safe at night, and there was outdoor/ramp parking just around the street for eight dollars a night. The only downside was that this neighborhood was noisier at night and early morning than other Sonder apartments I've stayed at in Chicago, but that's Chicago ha ha.
