Welcome Inn Manor

The location on Chicago's south side is a little unusual, so be ready to drive or take the conveniently located public transportation to the city's more traditional tourist areas. We stayed for three days and also hosted my sister's wedding party here, and had a great time. The decor was beautiful, breakfast was fabulous, and this was a phenomenal B&B. I'd highly recommend it.

The owners were so sweet, friendly, and easygoing, and Jimmy, the maintenance guy, helped make our vacation enjoyable too. We were about 15 minutes from the city, and they provided rides, which was a big help. The house looked beautiful inside and out, and my friends and I felt really comfortable there. Breakfast was delicious. Welcome Inn Manor Bed & Breakfast made this one of my best vacations so far. Don't look elsewhere, book here!

Our room had a good amount of space, a big closet, a bathroom, a separate shower room, and a tiny kitchenette. The historic neighborhood was nice and felt safe. The house itself was gorgeous, full of fabulous art, with beautiful gardens. There was free parking, though we used Ubers. I was nervous about spending a week in a big city, but the owner and his son made us feel at ease and were very attentive. If you let him know in advance, he'll give you a ride downtown or somewhere nearby after breakfast. I think the rooms on the top floor may share a bathroom. We're planning to come back soon.

We stayed in the Nat King Cole Suite, and we'll visit again. We left feeling like we'd said goodbye to friends in Chicago. Mell and Angie were lovely hosts and pleasant company around the Manor. I was there for a week of work and my wife joined me later in the week so we could enjoy the Chicago scene. Breakfast and good conversation each morning made for a change from the usual work travel routine. They also shared helpful tips on local entertainment and good places to eat that aren't easy to find with a Google search. The chats and sometimes funny stories kept things fresh.
