Hampton Inn & Suites Indianapolis/Brownsburg

The check-in with the woman who helped us was a bit irritating, but the rest of the stay was great. I’d mentioned in the reservation that we were coming for my hubby’s birthday and asked for a picture with Star Wars and a Happy Birthday message. Whitney came through with three in the room and a goodie bag for him. We’ll stay here again when we come this way.

The front desk and breakfast employees were always kind. We were there after my 33 year old daughter, a mother of five, had died, and you could tell the employees were different from the ones during our last stay for my mother’s funeral. There were some language barriers with the cleaning staff, though. The colors inside had changed too, which made us think there might be different owners. Aside from that, the stay was good.

Service was great, and I liked having AC and USB outlets right by the desk. The rooms are decent with excellent WiFi, though the ones by the freeway aren’t very quiet. Breakfast was just okay compared with other Hamptons.

The room was incredibly loud, like the window was open, because the hotel is right on the highway. At check-in, the woman at the counter only asked, “You’re checking in?” There were long, awkward silences through the whole exchange, except when she mentioned the extra $25 charge after I’d already prepaid. I told her we hadn’t brought our pet after all and got no response. The final silence came when she handed over the room cards. Now I see why it was so cheap. This will be my last stay here, and I haven’t even tried breakfast yet. Honestly, I’m not expecting much.
