Gran Mansion Hotel

The bed was clean and decent, the room was quiet, and we slept well. The A/C worked all night, the plumbing was fine, the toilet was clean, and there were no roaches, though I looked for them because of other reviews. The shower stayed hot, so I got a good long shower. My boyfriend picked this place for its location and fair price. There were plenty of problems, though. The carpets and loveseat were badly stained, the pillows were flat, and the black towels smelled as if they hadn't been washed with soap. The phone didn't work, there was no hair dryer or coffee pot, and the shower towels still smelled funny when I dried off. I wouldn't bring my kids here. If they cleaned the carpets and furniture and provided fresh white towels, I'd have given it four stars. I might stay again, but I'd bring my own towels, a better pillow, and maybe Lysol. No bedbugs in this room.

The room was old and overpriced, and my kids got rashes. There were lots of little roaches, including on the sink counter. The sheets and comforters looked extremely old, the shower tub flooded, and the shower head was old and moldy. They left only two discolored black bath towels and one hand towel, with no washcloths. The bathroom doorknob was broken, so I had to yank the door open. Very disappointing. I'll never stay there again.

The pictures and reviews on the travel site didn't match what we found. We had prepaid, but I was ready to leave and write off the money. The room was gross. The sheets were yellowed with bleach stains, and the floral bedspread made me itch. They provided pink bath towels but no face towels, only bath towels. There were hand soap dispensers in the shower. The curtain wouldn't stay shut when the AC was on, so there was no privacy. The fridge was in the closet, and trash was piled by the stairs. Someone had stuffed tissue into the door peephole and taped paper over it. We didn't get housekeeping for two days. When we called the front desk, the guy hung up on us twice. Save yourself the trouble and go elsewhere. Spend another $10 for somewhere nice.

There were hardly any amenities, and I found a packet of syringes on the closet shelf. The room had maybe two light bulbs in the whole place. I checked out after they wouldn't let my mother visit for an hour or two at 11 a.m. I'd come 2,000 miles to see her. I'll never stay at this hotel again.
