We ended up leaving our prepaid stay and writing this from another hotel’s parking lot. It cost us hundreds more, and the experience left us worried about our family’s health and safety. After we complained, they moved us twice, but each room was worse. We found broken locks, stained bedding, Wi-Fi that didn’t work, and TVs that were out of order. Construction noise started at 7 AM and kept going. It felt like they were cycling us through rooms that weren’t fit to stay in until we gave up. The first room was already being worked on, with tools and debris in the hallway. The front desk clerk was so rude we felt treated like criminals. Inside, the room was painfully humid, and the AC was visibly leaking onto the carpet. The bathroom fan didn’t work, the bins were overflowing, and we couldn’t get help from the staff we encountered because they spoke no English. There was no breakfast, despite it being advertised.

The beds were reasonably comfortable, but that was about the only plus. The lighting is awful, the towels are tiny, and there are no toiletries beyond a bar of soap. It wasn’t a cheap stay either. My sister booked it, so I appreciate that, but next time I’ll handle the booking myself. If you can spend a little more, I’d go with a Holiday Inn Express.

If you’re visiting with family or kids, I wouldn’t recommend staying here. It’s an area where sketchy behavior feels like a real risk, and the property has a bad history of things happening there. In a desperate situation, it might work as shelter if you stay inside and don’t mix with the public. Otherwise, look at the island or a hotel with better reviews.

The location is okay and close to the freeway, though getting in means relying on other drivers to let you through. I’m here for work and expect to stay at least ten days, but I’ll be sending this to my employer so they can decide whether to book employees here again. My wife saw a roach a couple of times. The shower has been repainted, and the paint is peeling off the floor. It’s very slippery, so be careful getting in and out. The floors were filthy, the room was tiny, and there was no fridge, coffee maker, or microwave. The headlamp above the bed didn’t work on my first day. I got up at 5:30 AM for work and there wasn’t even coffee in the lobby. The towels are thinner than dish towels, clearly worn from years of use. The pillows are extremely flat. I asked the front desk for a couple more and was told they had none, even though I’d seen pillows on the shelves in the open linen closet every day for over three days. The machines charge $3 for a small bag of chips. My first room had a TV that didn’t work. I went to the desk for a remote, and the clerk gave me a strange look when I repeated my room number. Then she said, “Oh, that room, yeah the TV doesn't work,” and offered the one next door. I took it. That room was small too.

The room had no refrigerator, and the pillows were completely flat. I’d reserved a queen bed but was given a full instead.
