For a hotel at this price, the location in the middle of town is good, parking is ample, and the room was very clean with a comfortable bed. I checked in the night before my 2/24-25 work stay, and the desk gentleman was friendly enough. The big problem was having no hot water from check-in through my one-night stay. A warm shower is a real need when you have to work the next day. I reported it at the desk, and the guy just said, “Yeah we have issues with it,” then left it at that. I went to work without a shower. If they truly resolve this, it could be a good hotel for the cost.

For $160 a night, I felt this was overpriced. Breakfast wasn't great, either. The rooms are small with basic furniture, the bed was uncomfortable, and the sheets wouldn't stay in place. It took ten minutes for the shower to warm up, and even then the water was only just hot enough to bathe. There wasn't anywhere to put clothes in the bathroom. They still leave Bibles in the rooms, which gets kudos from me. A few restaurants are within walking distance.

The woman who checked me in was the best part of the stay. My room smelled old and musty, and the door only shut if I slammed it. In the morning, two women at the front desk didn't speak to or acknowledge me. I have my own opinion about that, but I'll keep it to myself. If you work in hospitality, you should treat everyone hospitably regardless of their color, or find another line of work.

Troy at the front desk was great. We arrived during a rush with two families ahead of us, and he was handling it all by himself, yet stayed quick, professional, and friendly. My husband called to ask for extra pillows without me realizing Troy was still working alone. A little later, they were delivered to our door. You really can't ask for better service.

The website says the king room has a curved shower rod, which made me expect a tub with a shower. What I got was an accessible shower setup, fine for someone using a wheelchair or needing that kind of shower, but not for someone wanting a tub and curved rod. Water gets everywhere, and the floor is slippery to stand on. I stayed one night and hope not to stay again. Wouldn't recommend.
