We come back to New Orleans and stay here every time. The rooms are clean and well kept, and the staff is very attentive. The name is a bit misleading, though, since they don’t serve breakfast.

Apart from being bitten up by spiders while I was sleeping at night, my stay was fine. They need to fumigate.
The main bed in Room #5 looked nice for two, but the old pullout mattress had brown stains all over it. I can only hope there weren’t bed bugs. Then, at 5 am, the water heater burst and flooded the bathroom and hallway around the room. I spent about two hours trying to contain the water. The owners didn’t answer my calls or texts. We would have been stranded without AirBnB Support, but luckily we booked somewhere else through the app. I still don’t know whether the owners ever read the messages.
Smoke from the restaurant kitchen downstairs got into the rooms through awful ventilation. At one point it was so thick you could see it, which made me wonder if that’s why the batteries had been removed from the fire alarm. The rooms are small and old. There’s a shared balcony, but it belongs to the restaurant, and the guesthouse management says they have nothing to do with it.
Bed bugs. Nobody came to clean the rooms the whole time, and it seemed like no one worked there. The only people we spoke with were maintenance staff, about the bed bugs. They dismantled the bed and put in a new one the same day, before the room was cleaned or pest control came.
