I arrived around 2-3 AM after the Fairfield across the street was overbooked, which made the room and service problems even more frustrating. This was one of the worst, most ratchet hotels I've stayed at, and I wouldn't recommend it. The kitchen wasn't clean, and the appliances hadn't even been wiped down. The shower looked dirty, there was black pubic hair in the sink when I arrived, and the TVs malfunctioned and woke me several times. Some outlets worked off and on, so my phone looked like it was charging when it wasn't. The room was also disorganized, and some employees seemed poorly trained. Employees parked in the front guest pull-up area, which is normally for arrivals and safety access, even as guests were being assured the area was safe. When I raised it, staff said this was normal and that employees should be able to park there. Welcome to the Deep South… They also seemed unwilling to hear feedback or have a constructive conversation. I asked for a 1 o'clock late checkout and was offered noon instead. They wouldn't work with me, and different staff gave different answers. The Fairfield ordeal was hard enough, and when I asked about it, they said they were a different company and didn't care. I documented all the problems I experienced.

Our room and bathroom were clean and comfortable, with good water pressure. Esperanza from housekeeping was very nice, and the hotel staff were wonderful. A special thank you to Brandon at the front desk. After hours on the road, his warmth and professionalism at check-in turned a tiring travel day into a great start. He also let us check out late, so we could get the rest we needed.

Ron made us feel at home as soon as we walked in, and his dinner suggestion was appreciated. We were traveling home from Florida and had a wonderful overnight stay. It's dog friendly, with plenty of outdoor space. We'll definitely stay again.

The manager offered to add points to my account, which I hadn't even asked for, but I still never received them. During the stay I asked about five times whether they'd been added. They kept saying I'd get an email or a call, but neither came. Yet the manager called me about another stay at a completely different hotel, apparently under the same owner, to say I owed a balance. I walked over and paid it, then asked about my points again. She said she'd call, and here we are. The room wasn't properly cleaned. I had to go to the front desk for a scrubber to clean the bathroom, where there was mold in the shower and hair on the toilet. The refrigerator didn't work, and we only noticed the next morning, after which we had to throw away food like eggs and milk. They eventually moved us, but the bathroom in the new room was still dirty, and there were food crumbs when we pulled out the sofa bed.

We were given a room with a shower that had a 3 inch step, despite asking for an accessible room and bathroom. My step-dad is an amputee with one leg and uses a wheelchair. I asked the desk for a shower seat and was told the hotel didn't have one. I worked in the hotel industry and understood these things are required to be available for guests. I looked at my step-dad and said, "I guess you can't shower here tonight." The woman smiled and told me to have a nice night. It was insulting, and I felt especially hurt for him. My mom checked us in, and she has a brain injury from the major accident my parents were in 10 years ago. When I asked what had happened, the woman said, "I went over this with your mother already," and seemed annoyed. They explained that we needed two beds because there were three adults, and that the only accessible room available had a single bed. The entire building also smelled strongly of smoke, inside and outside. It seemed as though it had burned down and been rebuilt, and the smell of a fresh fire was overwhelming in the morning. Don't stay here if you expect common decency or accessible accommodations. We should have gone somewhere else. Don't give this establishment your money.
