Surestay By Best Western Bryan College Station

The location is great, but this was easily the dirtiest, worst maintained hotel I've stayed at in College Station. At check-in they make you sign a no-open-containers waiver, which felt like County Lockup. Between dogs barking next door and road noise, sleeping was tough. There are no blackout curtains, so the parking lot security lights kept the room bright all night. The AC worked. I wouldn't stay here.

We found two wasps in the room around 2 a.m. and had to kill them ourselves. The shower water also ran brown for almost 15 minutes at first, which made getting ready for bed difficult. On top of that, the AC wasn't working properly and had visible dirt and grime on it. I'm very dissatisfied and won't stay here again. Please avoid this hotel.

The rooms were exceptionally clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful. I left my wallet behind by accident. When I called, the man said he'd tried to reach me but couldn't get an answer. He sent over the form to request it, and they mailed my wallet right out. That's really above and beyond. Thank you.

I ended up staying two nights instead of the one I'd meant to book, because I accidentally reserved the wrong date and immediately made a second booking for that same night. I explained it at check-in, and the desk offered to cancel but told me to contact the third-party booking service first. I followed that advice. They reached out multiple times and got no response. When I finally got hold of GM Stephanie, she refused and was rude, with no interest in hearing me out. The booking service was willing to cancel, but she blamed its agreement. Apparently there's a one-year cancellation policy, which makes no sense to me since nobody books a hotel that far ahead. It felt disgusting to be treated that way by someone in HOSPITALITY. She had ZERO intention of doing her job or helping at all. I suppose it's money hungry. Beware, you won't be treated with respect even as a paying customer. I'll never go back or recommend them to friends or family. Yuck.
