The location made this a great fit for my stay. I could walk to downtown restaurants and West Virginia Wesleyan University, which is handy in a town like Buckhannon. There’s an evening bar and video slots on site, though no pool, so I could still unwind without going elsewhere. I stayed three nights at the Bicentennial Inn in Buckhannon, West Virginia. The room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained, and everything worked. I slept well each night, though the doors don’t block much sound, so loud hallway conversations could wake you if people aren’t considerate. My Garmin watch backs up that I still got good sleep. It’s no Hilton resort, but it was as good as a solid chain hotel. I used to be a Hilton Diamond member, so my expectations aren’t low. I’d absolutely stay here again if I needed a clean, comfortable place in Buckhannon.

We spent a week here, and it felt like staying with friends. Everyone at the Inn and in the 88 lounge was so friendly, and the staff were absolutely amazing. The rooms were great and reasonably priced, too. The restaurant is no longer open, but the lounge has a good drink selection, lovely service, and a nice atmosphere. We have nothing to complain about and look forward to coming back.

I’ve never had worse customer service. I’ll never recommend this hotel, and my family won’t support it again. To clarify my reply: the third party contacted you for me. That’s your policy, not theirs. I’ve booked hotels through that third party for many years, and until this hotel, they’ve never failed to help me with a request.

It took several minutes for the water to heat up, which was the one drawback. The rooms were clean and exceptionally quiet, and the value was very good. It’s a small-town hotel with a cool feel, and we’d still recommend it.
