Extended Stay America Suites Mt Olive Budd Lake

Having a full kitchen made the extended stay feel more like living in my own apartment than staying at a hotel. The full sized fridge, stovetop, and microwave meant I could cook for myself and save on restaurant meals, which was a real plus for a longer visit. The property itself was a pleasure, and I’d recommend it over other Extended Stay Americas in Northern New Jersey. Cheryl, Shonda, and Cherish at the front desk made us feel welcome from check-in. Cheryl got me checked in quickly and smoothly after a long travel day. Later, Cherish helped with a request and went out of her way to make sure I was looked after. Both were friendly and welcoming, and their service made the stay feel special. Joe from maintenance was exceptionally helpful too.

Shonta made a real difference during my stay. She was warm, welcoming, and professional from the moment I arrived, handled check-in and checkout efficiently, and patiently answered my questions. She stayed calm and friendly while juggling calls, other guests, and my requests, and I felt she genuinely cared about making me comfortable. I appreciated her help. It’s clear she takes pride in her work and represents the company well. Staff like her really affect the whole experience.

After I booked and paid online, the man at the front desk told me they were sold out. I’m almost certain they gave my room to somebody else. I asked for help sorting it out and getting a refund, but got none. It was a terrible first experience, and the front desk guy was rude. He shouldn’t be the face of the company at night.

This was maybe my fifth stay here for work, and never by choice. The rooms are always absolutely disgusting, and the staff are hit or miss. Some have been very friendly; others are rude and act like we’re an inconvenience. Last night I was about to sit in the broken recliner, but first I wiped it quickly with a wet towel and dried it with another one. The pictures show what the towels looked like after that one quick wipe.
