The room was nice, with a comfortable bed, really soft sheets, and good bathroom products. Check-in and access were entirely contactless, handled through phone and email with a code sent for the room. I’d definitely stay here again.

The outdoor lounge spaces and games made it easy to spend time outside with our dog, and we’d absolutely come back. Hotel Hygge in Buellton was a lovely, simple place to stay. The rooms are minimalist and have great products.

I’m concerned this could be a credit card scam. I booked Hygge through booking.com, and soon afterward the staff asked me to call and provide my card number by phone. I said I preferred to communicate through booking.com, and they said they understood. An hour before we were due to arrive, I still had no check-in details. When I contacted the hotel, they again said I had to call and give my card information over the phone. I sent the details through a booking.com message, but they kept insisting on a phone call. I refused and contacted booking.com. Shortly after that, Hygge canceled the reservation, leaving my family and me without a place to stay when we arrived.

A good value in a convenient location, and it had all the basics I needed. I don’t have anything negative to report. Updated smart TVs would be a nice addition, but the stay was well worth the price.

The view from our room was beautiful, and Solvang is just 5 minutes away, so it was well worth the money. The rooms are on the small side, but they’re cozy and nice, and the bathroom was very clean.
