I’ve been staying at Pea Soup for more than 10 years while visiting family in the area several times a year. It’s always my first choice in the SY Valley, and I can’t think of anything that’s ever gone wrong. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the staff are wonderful. Terry helped fix a mistake I made on an upcoming reservation today. It was completely my fault, but she was so sweet and helpful about sorting it out. This is why I love the place. I absolutely recommend it to anyone visiting.

The rooms are dated, the beds are small, and the toilet sits very low for someone who’s 6 feet or taller. Still, it was a good stay and seems like a solid choice for a family on a budget. Vincent was a huge help with the shuttle rides, knew the area and the best places to eat, and was always right on time when he came back to pick us up.

It was super quiet at night, the beds were comfortable, and parking was easy. The rooms are spacious and clean, and the location is hard to beat for the price. We didn’t use the pool, hot tub, putting green, or the cute outdoor seating with fire pits because it rained every day, but I’d still stay again without hesitation. Breakfast comes with Danish pastries or muffins and coffee, and there’s guest laundry as well. A nice extra.

After a long drive up to Solvang, it was a relief to find a clean room and friendly service for the night. It’s a charming motel with a slightly older feel. The hot tub felt great after my hike earlier that day.

The room was clean and comfortable, and I liked the soft bed. Breakfast was pretty limited: Danish, oatmeal, hot drinks, and apple juice. The Danish was good. The pool was closed in December. What put me off was how thin the walls were. I could hear loud TV on one side, people talking, coughing, and sneezing on the other, and every step from above. The first night was fine, but loud neighbors the second night changed how I felt about the place. I’m not sure I’d recommend it.
