Hampton Inn Columbus - Airport

The staff were great, and it wasn’t dirty, but the place really needs a refresh. There were no weights in the fitness center, one side entrance door didn’t work, and only one elevator was working, and that one wasn’t working well. Even with the airport shuttle being convenient, I think I’d stay farther away next time. I guess you get what you pay for.

During my two-night stay, Franklin County went through its first level 3 snow emergency in the system’s history. The hotel was full, and very few staff had been able to get to work, but the front desk, maintenance, shuttle driver, and housekeeping team all did a tremendous job and stayed friendly, courteous, and efficient. With restaurants and most grocery stores closed, we had almost no way to get food. The Hilton next door kept food available, and the bartender and maintenance worker grilled cheeseburgers and made chicken tenders and fries for us. My room was clean and comfortable, and the parking package was a great value. I was there for two nights during the January 2026 snowstorm while waiting for a flight.

My flight was canceled, so I needed somewhere near the airport. The lobby and hallways didn’t impress me, and the dining room is quite small, but the staff were really friendly. I was surprised by how clean and nice the room was: nice towels, a very nice TV, and nice furniture. I’d recommend staying here again if I needed a hotel by the airport. I usually stay in Marysville, but the room and service here were very nice.

The rooms are basic but clean, and the airport access and parking arrangement are convenient. The people who work here are friendly, helpful, decent, and kind, so I don’t stay anywhere else when flying out of Columbus. On one early morning, I rushed to catch my flight and left my iPad behind. I realized at the airport and called as soon as I could. In less than 10 minutes, the supervisor checked the room and confirmed they’d found it. They held it until we returned five days later. We’re so grateful. Thanks for another great stay and for helping us get the iPad back.
