Buena Park Inn

The bed was clean and comfortable, and the shower and mirrors looked freshly cleaned. I was worried by older reviews about cockroaches, but didn't see any signs of them. Still, there were stains on the walls, ceiling, fridge, headboards, and light fixtures, and the towels had spots. The floors clearly hadn't been vacuumed in a while: after walking barefoot for five minutes, our feet were black, with crumbs and hair stuck to them. Weed smell was all over the hotel. The location and price are the only real positives, so use your judgment.

Being so close to knottsberry farm was nice, and the non-smoking room didn't smell bad. But the sheets and walls were stained, and a few little roaches scattered when I switched on the lights. I wasn't expecting much, but I wouldn't stay here again.

The staff were okay, but the room was awful and I felt uncomfortable just standing in it. I used a whole tub of disinfectant wipes and still doubt the room had been cleaned properly. The counters were sticky and grimy, and the pillows were bloody and stained. The blankets had burn marks and stains too. For how run down it is, the price is way too high. This would be my absolute last resort.

We nearly let the online reviews put us off, but there weren't any roaches. The room was big and the bed was comfortable, though don't expect great linens. It's a decent place to get some rest.
