Days Inn by Wyndham Buena Park

The kids loved unwinding in the pool and hot tub after long days at the parks, and the hotel is family friendly without costing a fortune. The rooms were clean and nice, and everyone on staff was friendly. But Naja and especially NAJA made the trip for us. He was warm, professional, and went out of his way to make sure we had what we needed. We stayed with my grandson and friends in July/August 2025 to visit Disneyland, and I meant to write this sooner. We’ll be back for Universal Studios because of him and the rest of the team. Thank you!

Breakfast is pretty basic. It gets the job done, though a couple of hot choices like eggs or pancakes would make it better. The room was well kept, the place was clean, and check-in felt easy. Staff were friendly, and the stay was comfortable and hassle-free. For a convenient stay in Anaheim, it had what we needed. We’d consider coming back.

The room offered no chance to rest: loud music from downstairs neighbors went on all night, and complaining didn't change anything. After we got home, the hotel called saying a towel was stained and tried to add a fee. We didn't stain any towels. It felt like an unfair charge on top of an already terrible stay. The access problems started at arrival. The main elevator was broken, so guests had to walk halfway around the building to reach the only working one. My elderly, handicapped father arrived before us to check in with a valid reservation, but the desk refused because the booking had a shortened version of his name instead of his full legal name. They left him sitting in the lobby for two and a half hours until we arrived, with no effort to help or accommodate him. Once we got there, staff and management still wouldn't assist. They told us to contact Booking.com ourselves to change the name. It took another 30+ minutes standing in the lobby after a long travel day, and only then did they reluctantly check us in. This was one of the worst hotel experiences I've had. The way they treated a disabled older guest was especially disturbing, and I'm looking into whether legal action is appropriate. The hotel failed at accessibility, service, noise control, and basic decency. Stay somewhere else.

The beds were surprisingly comfortable, and the room was spacious and about as clean as I'd expect from a budget hotel. Then we noticed mosquitoes everywhere. I got most of them, but my wife and I still left with bites. Fortunately, the kids didn't get bitten. We booked for four people after a drive of over six hours. At check-in, the clerk said our reserved room had flooded and offered either a one-bed downgrade or a refund through the third-party booking site. We weren't up for finding somewhere else, so after going back and forth I said we just needed two beds. He found a room that worked, and I appreciated it, though I don't know why that wasn't offered first. Apart from that, staff were helpful and friendly. Breakfast was awful: muffins, toast, yogurt and oatmeal, and it was already cleared away when we arrived at 9:15 even though it was supposed to end at 9:30. A nearby restaurant played very loud music until 2 AM. The first night I called the desk, and they said my only option was to call the Buena Park PD with a noise complaint. I don't blame the hotel for the restaurant, but the noise affected our stay. On later nights we were tired from Disneyland and managed to sleep, but only because we had a white noise machine for the kids. This is a budget place, so I wasn't expecting luxury, just value. It was a very average stay, and I wouldn't recommend it.
