DoubleTree by Hilton Buena Park

We ate at the onsite restaurant most mornings. The staff were friendly, service was quick, and the food was good and reasonably priced. It was handy to get Starbucks coffee from the onsite barista with breakfast, too. The room was clean and well maintained, with a mini-fridge and microwave that helped with our picky eater. After walking around the parks all day, it had everything we needed. Dave drove the shuttle and was patient and great with our kids, who liked chatting with him. It runs on a daily drop-off and pickup schedule, so coordinate with the drivers the day or evening before to reserve seats. We used it several times. We spent the week here for Universal Studios and Disneyland with our two kids. We chose this property after researching options, mainly because it offered a Disneyland shuttle. We don't know when we'll be back in the area, but this is already our pick for next time. Just allow at least an hour each way to Universal because LA traffic can be rough. Disneyland is 15 minutes away.

Restaurants and shops are an easy walk away, and the location suited us perfectly. They also have parking for semi trucks and trailers, which was a huge plus for us. The patio room was a real treat and I'd happily request it again. The foyer is lovely, with a welcoming fireplace, and the staff were professional and courteous. There's a restaurant onsite and laundry facilities with very fair prices. We definitely recommend this hotel.

The room safe had been left locked open. I didn't need it, so it wasn't a problem for me and I didn't tell the staff. Otherwise, the locks on the doors and app key entry worked flawlessly, which helped me feel secure. I felt at home here. The hallways and bar/restaurant stayed comfortable even while the outside temperature swung around during my December 21-23, 2025 stay. Everyone I met was cordial and offered help without being asked. Nike at the front desk made me feel welcome and relaxed from the start, and she was kind, helpful, courteous and very nice every time we spoke. I'd use this property as a standard for Hilton hotels. Book here for Disney or Knott's Berry Farm, or if you need to be near Koreatown. I don't think you'll be disappointed. Have a great new year!

The free parking is a real advantage in this area, and the free Wi-Fi worked perfectly for my business needs. The room also had a small fridge and coffee/tea maker. The hotel was comfortable and pleasant, but traffic from the main road was quite loud, so it's better if you just need somewhere to crash than if you plan to spend much time in the room. Breakfast was the biggest letdown. The limited menu came with paper vouchers for one coffee, one juice and one entrée. That felt outdated in 2026. I also didn't get the well-known cookies at check-in and only learned about them as I was leaving. A small thing, but it would have been a nice touch.
