Motel 6 Buena Park, CA - Knotts Berry Farm - Disneyland

I’ve never had a worse stay. The room smelled strongly of urine, there was food stuck to the floor, and the bed had black spots like it hadn’t been changed. The outlets looked as if they’d never been cleaned. I asked the receptionist to have someone clean the room. He said the maids weren’t available and he didn’t know how to change a bed, then handed me sheets and told me to do it myself. I expect basic things like a clean room when I arrive, or room service. He wouldn’t offer another room or any refund, even a partial one, so I could go somewhere that didn’t smell like urine.

I slept comfortably at night, and if you’re on a budget, this could be a good place. Just don’t count on having a microwave or fridge in your room. Mine had neither, and I don’t know if other rooms do, so don’t expect them in the room you book. There’s no room service either. You have to take your bedding, towels, and other needs down to the service manager to get them changed. The motel’s attractive photos could give people the wrong idea, but so far I’m not complaining.

The staff here are awesome. Tammie made check-in easy and smooth, and Heather is very knowledgeable with great customer service skills. The front office made the stay stress-free, while maintenance and housekeeping handled concerns and needs promptly and professionally. Fresh towels or bedding were no problem, and they took care of room maintenance issues quickly. The rooms are clean, though a little small. It’s pretty quiet overall, with restaurants within walking distance, and the price is good, less than other Motel 6s in the area.

We drove in from AZ, and the location seemed great, but the stay was awful. The room had no AC, the bathroom was falling apart, and they refused to move us. We had to fight to get clean towels, and the keys kept failing, so the doors needed resetting every time we went out. When I asked for a manager, I was denied. Nothing was right, from cleanliness to friendliness. Don’t waste your money here. Other hotels in the area are way better.
