Buffalo Inn

Our room was clean and comfortable for the four days we stayed. We’re from Texas and needed extra blankets, and the man on the night shift brought us some without any trouble. The property manager was amazing and went out of her way to point out places for us to visit. I also needed to do laundry before our flight, and she made sure I had everything I needed. The laundry facilities were at the end of our hall. Thank you for making our stay such a great experience. I’d give 10 stars if I could!

I came across a couple of positive reviews and booked because the price was cheap. The bed looked slept in. When I pulled back the covers, there was human feces smeared on the sheets. No one apologized. They moved me to another room, but I slept badly. I should’ve left, though after 11 hours of driving I was exhausted. Sleep in your car instead.

I had a confirmed reservation and clearly noted that I’d be arriving with a cat, but nobody got in touch beforehand to say cats weren’t allowed. The inn calls itself pet-friendly, yet this crucial limitation isn’t clearly stated. I drove more than two hours at night in black-ice conditions because I thought my booking was valid. At arrival, the receptionist cheerfully told me, “We don’t take cats.” There was no apology or concern, and no acknowledgment of the danger or the situation I’d been put in. With no alternatives available at that hour, I had to spend a freezing night in my car with my shivering cat. The reception staff’s manner felt dismissive, almost mocking, given what had happened. It was irresponsible, misleading, and cruel. If cats are excluded, say so clearly, and flag and confirm pet reservations in advance. Failing to do that can put people and animals at real risk. I strongly advise travelers with pets, especially cats, to avoid this place.

I’ve never seen a dirtier or worse room. I have plenty of photos. It was dingy and nothing like the pictures. There were dead spiders beside the bed, dead beetles on the bedspread, and boogers on the wall. The air conditioner was so close to the bed it was practically underneath it.
