Main Street Inn

The rooms are spacious and very soundproof, and the renovated building still has its historic feel. Parking is extremely limited because it’s downtown. The location right next to VT is excellent, especially for dropping off my incoming freshman. Couldn't ask for more convenience.

It was convenient to be close to everything, with parking available on site, and the hotel was nicely decorated. The staff were very friendly, and there was a cute little bowl of candy for guests that my little one loved. But our end suite near Main Street was loud, with traffic, music, and people walking along the street late at night. The king mattress was hard, lumpy, and uncomfortable. My little one slept on the pull-out couch, whose springs were noticeable, and somehow that was still better than the bed. The suite had two TVs, but the one by the pull-out couch didn't work for our kiddo. I don't think we'll visit this place again. Convenience doesn't outweigh comfort for us.

This college-town location can't be beat, and I'd stay here again because the place is clean and the staff are friendly and accommodating. The rooms work best for a couple. Our pull-out sofa was very uncomfortable, the fridge was super small, and the den area was dimly lit.

The outside looked nice, but inside the room it felt more like a motel. The carpet was worn, the pillows felt hard and cheap, and there was only one tiny soap to share between the sink and shower. We were disappointed after seeing the high rating and supposed three stars.
