SpringHill Suites by Marriott Elizabethtown

Breakfast had plenty of good choices, and the overnight staff member answered all our questions while telling us about the area and the sports park. We were there with family for a tournament, and the rooms were clean and roomy. When we tried to leave a tip, the man at the desk said reviews meant more. We’d recommend this hotel to our staff for the next tournament in town.

I’ve stayed here several times for work and have always met great people. Bob especially went above and beyond and gave us wonderful service. He’s the kind of person who makes you want to come back, and I definitely will. The renovations look really nice too.

The fitness room could use some basics: there was no sink, sanitizer, or wipes for cleaning the equipment. In my room, the request had been mixed up, so I got two small beds instead of a king. The room itself was clean and comfortable, and breakfast had a decent range of choices. There was no shampoo, conditioner, or body wash in the bathroom at first, though staff brought some quickly when I asked. I also noticed the smoke detector appeared to be held with duct tape for some reason.

The location worked really well for us, right off the interstate and within walking distance of lots of food options and 24-hour gas stations and shops. It’s tucked behind a small line of trees, so it’s quiet and feels a bit out of the way. The rooms are spacious and set up nicely for a family or group, with room to spread out. I liked the bathroom and the overall layout, but the bathroom is in the middle of everything behind a large sliding door, and there’s no way to lock it. That could make for some embarrassing moments. Service was great, and the staff did what they could to accommodate us. The continental breakfast may be the best I’ve had at a hotel. Our group was there for five nights and looked forward to it every morning. The rooms seemed very clean, but they’re quite dark despite having lights. The pullout couch looked as though it hadn’t been cleaned, and even sitting on it felt a little questionable. Bedding was provided, and I did end up using it, but it really needs a deep shampoo cleaning.
