Hampton Inn Elizabethtown KY

The breakfast team made a real difference during my Friday-to-Sunday stay. The woman working there went to get apple juice when the machine was out and brought it back in a pitcher. The man cooking and looking after the food was friendly and attentive too. My first-floor room had high ceilings and seemed clean, but there was a noticeable musty smell. On Saturday, one front desk employee came across as rude and like she didn't want to be there. I wondered if she'd been brought in from another property, and it felt very different from the rest of the team's hospitality. The stay was decent, but the odor and that interaction took away from it. I checked in Friday night, October 3rd, and left Sunday.

I expected more from a Hilton-owned place. The bed was somewhat comfortable and the full-length mirror was a nice feature, but the room looked worn and needs refreshing. The cabinet around the fridge was cracked, the baseboards needed cleaning or fresh paint, and the shower needed new caulk. The elevator was out, so I had to go up and down the stairs several times. Breakfast wasn't great, with powdered eggs. Chick-fil-A is across the street.

The room was great, and the woman at the desk got me sorted out when my car broke down and I needed somewhere to stay. She asked whether I wanted a king or queen bed, and I was too aggravated to care. Turned out the car was derating because the gas cap was loose 😒 lol. Funny how things work out, God works in mysterious ways 😆. Thanks for the stay, God bless and have a great night 👍👍

Breakfast was good and the staff were really friendly, which I appreciated. The room seemed clean, but it smelled awful, like smelly socks and musk. I only stayed one night and didn't want to make a fuss, so I sprayed Dove deodorant to get through it. The room could use an upgrade or at least a deep refresh. Hampton/Hilton is my family's favorite, and we're frequent guests when we travel unless someone suggests another hotel.
