Americas Best Value Inn Elizabethtown

There’s so much nearby that you’d have to be looking pretty hard to miss what you need. Restaurants, fast food, and shops are just around the corner, and the local history and sights could keep you busy for months. The motel itself was really nice and very centrally located.

We were stranded when our truck broke down, and this was the closest place to the tow yard that our company would pay for. At check-in, we were told about the deposit and pet fee, then told they didn't normally allow pets. I always check first, and my company had called ahead to confirm. The staff said they had a few rooms where dogs were allowed, so they could fit us in. Our truck wasn't ready the next day, so the company extended our stay. Each time we extended, we were charged an early check-in fee and a pet fee. We only got fresh sheets once. When my boyfriend accidentally got a little food on the blanket and we asked for another, housekeeping refused, saying they didn't change those. Ray backed her up and said they don't replace those linens. After checkout, I found that $40 of my deposit was missing. Ray said it was for washing the linens separately with special chemicals. He argued they had to wash the whole thing, even though they would need to clean it for the next guests anyway. Then he said they don't wash everything every time. At that point I could only laugh. This was the worst place I've ever stayed.

The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the price was reasonable. Getting to the hotel from the highway was easy. Parking felt cramped, and nobody was readily available at the front desk when I came into the lobby.

The room was freezing, and there wasn't even a blanket. I paid $150 for five hours of sleep during a really bad storm. Never going back.
