We've stayed here many times on our way north, but we won't book again. My husband was a repeat guest, and we already had a reservation for the trip home, but we canceled it. There are plenty of other hotels nearby and along the highway. Between the cleanliness and customer service, this place has a long way to go. It doesn't deserve three stars. We arrived at 5 a.m. The third-shift supervisor recognized my husband and offered us a late checkout. I hadn't asked for one and was fine leaving at 11, but since it was offered, I took the extra rest. At 11:27, housekeeping knocked. I said we had a late checkout, and then the first-shift manager came over. She said she doesn't offer that and we'd have to pay another $25 if we stayed. She said 11:30 was the latest without a fee. I explained that a manager had offered it to us, but I packed up and left at 11:31 anyway. I saw her in the hall and said I was leaving. She replied that I didn't need to leave and could stay until noon. What? I reminded her that she'd just told me I had to go. She said checkout was at 11:30, as if she might charge us, even though it was already 11:32. The manager was rude, unreasonable, and made me feel like I was being gaslit.

The staff were amazing, breakfast was nice, and the area felt welcoming, with lots of shops and places to eat nearby. The pool area was warm, though the water itself was cold. Our room was wonderful, but there was a roach. I'd come back.

My husband and I stayed from 9/30/2025 to 10/16/2025 with my two medically necessary, task-trained service animals and one pet dog. The staff were kind and friendly, but the room smelled musty when we arrived and there was mold on the bathroom ceiling. During the entire two-week stay, the room was never cleaned, even though we were out most days. Someone came in once to bring towels and empty the trash. No fresh sheets, no vacuuming, nothing. I usually bring a small vacuum when traveling with my service dogs to reduce pet dander and make less work for staff, but I had to vacuum several times myself. At checkout, we learned they had charged us two pet fees instead of one. The assistant manager was very nice, but wouldn't remove one. Under federal ADA law, charging a pet fee for a task-trained service animal needed for a disability is illegal. Nobody asked me the two legal questions recommended by the ADA to verify my service dogs. They just charged us. I've emailed the owner and still haven't received a response. I'm writing this to help another service dog team avoid being charged a pet fee for a federally protected, medically necessary task-trained service animal. As I said in my email, I'm requesting a full refund of one fee, $25 per day, and an accurate receipt sent to the email on the reservation. They refused to provide one, likely to hide the charge for the service animal.

The rooms were very clean, and the beds were comfortable. They could use a little updating, but the hotel was clean overall. The staff were excellent, friendly, and helpful. We'd definitely stay again.
