Econo Lodge Inn & Suites Springfield Main Street

The building is newer and really nice, with a very clean room and good rates. Key cards worked quickly, and both the stairs and elevator were clean and easy to use. The staff were friendly and accommodating across the board. Springfield’s neighborhood used to be ghetto, but it seems things have changed for the better. This hotel is a nice addition, and I’ll definitely stay again.

Even with a line of people checking in and the phone ringing nonstop, the staff stayed welcoming and courteous. The property was well maintained, quiet, and clean, and the updated rooms were comfortable. It was a busy weekend, but the price was right. The location is good too, near downtown Springfield and eateries. A very nice stay.

The clerk was kind about my motorcycle and let me park it on the sidewalk where it stayed in clear view of the office. The place was immaculately clean, and I learned it was seven years old, so it’s still quite new. My room, 102, was next to the stairs and I could hear people there; footsteps carry through the floors. There’s an elevator, so the top floor might be a better choice. Breakfast was minimal. Guest laundry is on site, $6 for a wash and dry.

Breakfast was pretty bad, but there’s a decent Mexican restaurant next door that opens early. The housekeeping team here is awesome. My room was cleaner than most Hampton/Holiday Inns, and this is one of the cleanest hotels I’ve stayed in for a while. The beds and pillows were comfortable, too.
