All Star Inn

After a five-hour drive from Houston,Tx with just one 10-minute break, my mom and I were glad to find such a relaxing place to rest, even though it was dark and late. Everyone in town was welcoming, the room was clean, and we had no problems. The service at All Star Inn was great from start to finish. If we come back, we already know where we’ll stay. Truly a BLESSING.

We slept well, and both the bed and pillows were comfortable. The rooms are pet friendly, clean, and had no bugs, and the team was friendly with excellent service. There’s a gas station next store where we walked for water and got a cup full of ice. The road is noisy, though, and there’s no ice machine or coffee. The sink and faucet could use an upgrade.

I felt safe at night with the parking lot well lit, and the bed was very comfortable. The owners were nice, the room was clean, and the rates were good. There’s no ice machine, but across the street you can buy microwave fast food, and Rocky's restaurant is there for fine eating. They have smoking rooms. Ask the owners for shampoo and conditioner, or the TV remote.

The room itself had several problems. There was a broken table, the blanket had dried red and white splotches, and the deadbolt wouldn’t work with my key. I took a picture when I first came in so I wouldn’t be charged for the table. The room clearly hadn’t been cleaned properly, and when we brought up the issues, the man at the desk blamed us for the table and brushed off the blanket. The first room we were given had a doorknob falling out. The office lady used a master key, then acted as if it was fixed and said maintenance would “spray it so it won't stick.” She eventually offered another room, which seemed fine at first. The TV remote also didn’t work. When I asked the front desk for batteries, she tried swapping in dead ones from a Tupperware dish with mixed sizes, even though a BRAND NEW unopened packed was on top of the collection. After fiddling around, she found new batteries. We were refused a full refund and they tried to keep all our money. Then they said I had to call my booking site, even though I PAID IN CASH!!!! They returned barely half, saying they had to charge for a night because I’d checked in an hour earlier, but we’d been there MAYBE 20 minutes. These people play stupid to play people and fraudulently make money. Don’t be fooled, they are absolutely crooked and dirty.
