I used 32,000 points for this stay as a diamond Best Western member, hoping to give my husband a birthday and Valentine's Day treat. We picked the hotel for its location, convenience, and beautiful hot tub suite. We stayed February 16, a few days after Valentine's Day. There was a small hair in the shower when we went to clean up before using the tub. That alone wasn't a dealbreaker. But once we started filling the Jacuzzi, we found artificial white rose petals stuck dry to the bottom. We know what people may do in a hot tub around Valentine's Day, and I was worried about what bodily fluids or bacteria might still be there if the tub and jets hadn't been properly cleaned. I shouldn't have to clean a hotel hot tub myself. The property manager didn't contact me with an apology or resolution within 24 hours, so I called Best Western myself. Management then offered 1,000 points, and corporate offered another 18,000. With 19,000 points total and our stay ruined, I'm very disappointed. Gross. Was that compensation adequate for what happened?

The room was spotless, housekeeping paid close attention to detail, and breakfast was a lovely way to start each day. Stephanie and Jeanette were especially helpful during my stay with my son, going out of their way to meet our needs. I could also keep an eye on our rental car from the room, which gave me peace of mind. I'll be back when I'm in Chicago. Ten stars to the Best Western from La Vegas.

Lee welcomed me at check-in and was professional, kind, and genuinely caring toward the guests. The next morning they were understanding when I needed a late checkout. I also ran into bank issues and had to stay in the lobby with my dog, and they were patient and kind about that too. Breakfast had a great selection, nicely laid out, and tasted delicious. I highly recommend the Best Western in Midway for its warm service.

We found the rooms spacious and clean, and the complimentary breakfast had plenty of choices each morning of our three-night stay. The location made the trip around Chicago easy, about a 15-minute drive to downtown. Best Western Inn & Suites - Burbank was a good choice for us, and we'd consider staying there again.

After flying back from Japan, I just needed a shower before my Christmas gig. I was also planning a Christmas surprise for my dearest husband and mother in law. Miss Sam was alone at the front desk at 3:00am. I don't expect much in the way of customer service at that hour, especially at one of the least expensive hotels around, but she greeted me with a big smile and kind words. I nearly cried, having buried my closest family member back in my hometown not long before. She patiently looked up my old membership numbers using my old cell numbers, all with a pleasant manner. We're so used to being told to handle things online or call customer service later. Because of her, I'll look for Best Western hotels in other places since I travel a lot. Thank you, Miss Sam, for making me feel at home and giving me such good service. You made this hotel feel top notch. The room was spacious and renewed, and breakfast was hot. Five stars!
