Five Star Inn Burleson

We've stayed here more than once, and this is the most courteous, friendly, family-oriented hotel we've found. I'd recommend it highly. If I could give it 6 stars, I would!

The room worked perfectly for what we needed, and the total was $85 with taxes and fees. I booked it for a late-night rendezvous with my sweetie coming in from out of town because paying over $100 wasn't in my budget. The reviews had me worried about dirt and bugs, but the rustic furniture was neat, especially the log bed. There were plenty of plump pillows, clean bedding, vinyl tile floors instead of stained carpet, and a clean bathroom and shower with complimentary shampoo and soap. It wasn't immaculate, but I wasn't afraid to touch anything. No free breakfast, though.

I've stayed here for work for a second year now, and the pricing is excellent. The rooms are spacious and the maid service is excellent. But there's a serious wasp problem at the back, with huge nests in the walls that need fumigation. You worry about leaving the door open, or even cracking the car windows in the heat. I've told management about the threat each time, and my pleas go unanswered. I guess someone has to get stung before anything is done.

The furniture looks cool and the room has nice amenities, but the rest of the stay sucked. It cost me $73 just to have a bed after I got stuck down here, and I wasn't warned it was a smoking room until I opened the door. It reeks of cigarettes, and the walls are paper thin. Yeah, dude next door, I can hear you. For hygiene stuff, all you get is one bar of soap, no shampoo or anything else. I normally bring my own, but this time I didn't. If you want a nice-looking room that smells like smoke and don't need shampoo or quiet, this is the place. If you want to clean up and sleep, try somewhere else.
