My mom is staying here, and she’s handicapped. She called to book two weeks and explained that she needed a downstairs room because she can’t use stairs. They said they’d do that, but when she arrived, they put her upstairs. Her key card wasn’t working, so I went with her to the desk. Nobody was there, and we had to ring the bell. My girlfriend and I got no greeting, just yelling for trying to get my mom’s card working quickly. She was in the car right outside. He refused to fix it and said I had to get my mom for a new set of keys. I was trying to get her card working so she could get back into her room. He yelled at my mother, saying she didn’t understand or speak English, and was incredibly rude. I asked if he was the manager, and he said, “Yes, yes, I’m the OWNER!” Can you believe the owner talks to people like this? The room itself isn’t that bad, but I would never stay here again, and neither would anyone I know. The back entrance door wasn’t locked. Each time we went down and back up, men were outside, going in and out, lurking, staring at us, and turning their heads and mumbling. As we left, two shirtless men looked us up and down, looked into the room, checked its number, and kept looking back at us. Stay away from this hotel!

We didn’t feel safe during our stay because the door we used to reach our room wasn’t secured the whole time. The hotel also seemed unprepared for guests arriving from out of town. I’d completed the online check-in ahead of time, but the person at the desk said there was no information for me. In the room, I found a dead bug and cookies on the sofa. The bathroom ceiling was moldy, and the tub and shower curtain were dingy. This was one of the worst experiences I’ve had. I’ll never stay at this location or any Super 8 by Wyndham again. Having the Wyndham name attached is misleading, because it’s night and day.

Expect an extra $50 deposit, even after you’ve paid for the room. The lobby smells like cigarettes as soon as you enter, and the staff are quite rude. They insult guests with racial slurs and use abusive, foul language. Don’t book here.

I chose this hotel for its location and because the Wyndham app said pets were allowed. After making an online reservation, I arrived to check in with my service dog and told the front desk clerk I was traveling with him. The clerk was super nice, but a man in pajamas came running out of a back room and said, “we no longer allow pets!” I explained that my dog is a service dog, not a pet, and that refusing access is against ADA law. He said I could bring a lawsuit against him, but I wasn’t staying there with my dog. I’d been traveling for 11+ hours and just needed to sleep.

The people here are nice and very helpful. The rooms are clean, and I was very satisfied. I’ll definitely stay again.
