AC Hotel Burlington

The valet staff were especially great, and the service overall was excellent. Parking can be a hassle, partly because there’s construction next door, but valet was convenient and reasonably priced. The hotel sits in central Burlington near Church Street, and I could walk to most places I wanted to go. It’s also close to Lake Champlain’s shore. I had a really good stay and highly recommend it.

I was hoping to recommend this new place to my family when they visit, but after what happened, I told them to look elsewhere. More than 20 relatives had been planning to book rooms, and I’ll now send them to Hotel Vermont or anywhere else. My partner and I pulled into a space reserved for valet while heading to get coffee. We hadn’t even turned the car off when the valet worker came out glaring, picked up the small sign, and slammed it on the ground. Moving the car wasn’t an issue. The aggressive way he handled it was. What if we’d been customers about to use the service? I can’t imagine my grandmother’s first interaction there being like that. I went inside to tell someone, and the desk attendant laughed and said customer service didn’t apply because I wasn’t a customer. My partner was treated the same way. He was right that I wasn’t a guest, but that was a gross way to speak to someone.

When our bus to Boston never showed up after we’d waited 2-3hr at the stop, it was -11degC that evening and we faced another 7hr wait for the next one. My children and I went back to AC hotel, hoping to sit in the lobby somewhere warm. The young woman at reception understood our situation and invited us to get comfortable in the lounge. Lounge staff brought snacks and offered advice about the bus. Then the receptionist offered us a room so we could rest until it was time to leave. The staff turned a miserable wait into a really heartwarming experience, and we’re so grateful. We stayed at AC mid December. It’s the best hotel I’ve ever stayed in: clean, spacious rooms with nice decor, a great location, and especially friendly, helpful staff.

Burlington’s skyline looks incredible from this spot. Liam and Conner at the bar were the best part of the visit, friendly and attentive, and they made amazing drinks. Great service all around. Highly recommend!
