Sundown Inn

We paid $89 for the night and were very disappointed. The beds were shabby, there was no hot water, coffee maker, blow dryer, or continental breakfast. The only good thing was that we managed to sleep. For that price, they should provide more amenities, like an ironing board, coffee makers with coffee, continental breakfast, and Wi-Fi. We felt we got screwed and won't stay here again.

I was paying by the week on a business trip in December 2023. After paying for my third week, I got called elsewhere with five days still left. The manager couldn't refund my money, but said I could use those days the next time I came to town. I thanked him, but didn't really believe him. A month later I returned, and he greeted me by saying I was back to finish my stay and that he had my room. I didn't have to pay anything more.

The pool area had no drinks like tea, nowhere to lie out, and no shade. The pool was locked and we had to ask each time to get in. Same with the ice machine. The room towel situation was frustrating too. We stayed several days and had to return a towel before getting a fresh one, and they told us to use the towels in the room for the pool as well as for bathing. This was our third stay and will be our last. The rooms are old and run down, the tub drained slowly, and the door lock was barely hanging on, with no bolt. A 10-year-old could have kicked it in. On top of everything, the man running the place was rude and acted like we were a burden. I wouldn't recommend it. Pay extra and find another hotel.

A nice little hotel with prices that are more than reasonable.
