Prime Rate Inn

I want to thank Prime Rate Hotel for having people like TK on staff. His kindness made a real difference, and he clearly understands that hospitality is about how guests are treated, not just rooms and rates. My stay at Prime Rate was much better because of his calm, thoughtful approach. During the holiday season, people can be dealing with stress and challenges that aren't visible, so patience matters. TK, the front desk auditor, enforced hotel policies fairly and professionally while still showing compassion and respect. That's a hard balance at a busy, emotionally charged time of year, and he handled it with genuine care.

The only thing that bothered us was the road construction around the hotel. Parking was free, and the price was hard to beat. Staff were polite and friendly, and the place was quiet. Heating, cooling, and TV all worked perfectly. Our room had a fridge, freezer, and microwave, plus a great bed with high quality sheets. The hotel has recently been renovated, with brand new bathrooms. Free breakfast was included, and the pool and hot tub looked great. We'd definitely stay again.

The room was fairly clean, but it had a strange smell. We didn't know the AC and heat had a master switch, so it took a while to get the AC working until the helpful front desk man assisted us. The window screen was broken, so airing out the room wasn't an option. We got through the night, though I'd suggest using a door lock for security. A lot of construction workers were staying there, and they left beer bottles around the parking lot and parked wherever they wanted. As women, we didn't feel safe walking in from outside at night, and I was glad my husband was with me. The hotel was inexpensive, so we tried to give it some grace. The check-in gentleman was friendly and patient with customers. It's a passable cheap option, but I'd be cautious about staying there as a woman.

The room was decent for the price and didn't have any odd smell, but breakfast was a letdown. They seemed to put out a tray of doughnuts or something, and it was gone within minutes of the advertised breakfast hours starting. My family got nothing, even though we'd planned our day around that food. I got up early and found it all cleared out, with no restocking. It felt like long-term guests might be taking it all, though that's only my impression. I'd call ahead to ask about breakfast. Management seems overwhelmed and not accountable for what's promised, which felt misleading. When I tried to check in, the lobby was empty and there was no bell or anything to get someone's attention. I waited at the counter for close to ten minutes before an employee appeared.
