The Thanksgiving buffet was a welcome option after heavy snow had us dealing with flickering lights, and everything was fantastic. If they do it again next year, I’d only add some rolls, because you need rolls when giving thanks 🤣. Our service was great too. I think our server was Amy, and she kept up with empty plates and full beers. We appreciated that they were open and really enjoyed the evening. I can’t speak to the rooms, but I’ve been here twice since the owners changed and both visits were top notch. The other time we came on a Saturday for the Prime Rib and BBQ buffet. It was mid-summer and busy, but the food and service were great then too.

Lena's Northern Pines Resort has a gorgeous outdoor setting, and the inside felt wonderful and relaxing too. We held a private dinner there for around 40 people after a memorial service, and the whole experience was excellent. The prices were very reasonable, there was plenty of food, and they handled every question or concern promptly and professionally. If you need a place for a private party, I’d recommend it.

We only came for dinner, so I can’t comment on the rooms. The young woman serving us worked hard to look after everyone and kept smiling. We were so impressed that we complimented her and asked to speak with her boss. We told Lena how great our waitress was. The place was clean, the food delicious, and with service like that, we’ll be back often.

The view through the dining room’s back windows was a highlight: we caught the sun setting over the lake, with the sky turning purple and pink. Our family of seven was seated right away for Friday fish fry, even though the place was busy, and we could all pick from a variety of fish options. The salad bar had the usual choices plus pasta salads, cheese spread, soups, and more. Service was very good, and it made for a great experience. Truly a hidden gem!

For New Year’s Eve, I had the crab legs and my husband got the ribeye. Both came with the salad bar, and the meal was really well priced. The service was super friendly, and dinner was delicious. We had a great time here.
