Motel 6 Arkadelphia, AR

The front desk guy was unusually friendly and helpful. The room was good for the price, with a firm bed, tub, and microfridge, though the TV was small and had few channels. There was a lot of highway noise, but not much noise from other guests.

We came from out of town as vendors for the midsouth music festival, and BILLY made the whole visit one we'll remember. He helped from the room booking through checkout, even running out with my favorite blanket when I almost left it behind. The shower curtain had some mold, the only real downside, but his customer service was so over the top that it didn't matter to us. Thanks, Billy. If we come back, we'll stay here again.

We like motel 6 for its basic, no-frills rooms, but be careful with this location. We booked through Expedia and paid in full on the app. When we arrived, they said they were having trouble with Expedia and would cancel the booking and give us the same rate. We were tired, so we paid. Two months later, Expedia still hasn't refunded us, and even after Expedia spoke with the motel, they still won't admit fault. I wonder how many others this has happened to.

I've traveled a lot for work, and this is the worst hotel I've slept in. The beds are hard, with springs digging into you, the pillows are tiny, and the AC is incredibly loud. The sheets and pillows smelled as if they hadn't been washed, and the defrosted minibar smelled bad. With all of that, getting any rest was impossible. At $80 a night, I'd spend $20 or $30 more for a better night's sleep. I'd rather sleep in my car seat than stay here again. That night was awful, and I'm not exaggerating.
