Hampton Inn Calera

We’ve held our quarterly meeting in their conference room every quarter for more than a year. The new manager said we’d never met there before and asked for a credit card, even after I explained I’d never had to provide one in the past. She was very rude. I told her we wouldn’t hold any more meetings there because of her, and she hung up. They might want to take a look at management.

The rooms were cozy, and breakfast had nutritious, tasty options. It’s a typical Hampton Inn with all the standard amenities, and Walmart and lots of restaurants are within walking distance. I’d be happy to stay at this location again if I’m in the area. I didn’t get any greeting or acknowledgment from the concierge during my stay.

I’ve been coming and going several days a week for the past month while dealing with a home renovation. There are cheaper places, but this one’s good enough that I keep staying here. The entrance could be more prominent, and I’ve told them it should reflect how nice the place is. The General Manager called within an hour when I had a problem and helped sort it out, which is part of why I’m changing my rating to five stars. Housekeeping is second to none, the hotel is super-clean, and the staff are above average. Breakfast is great, the water is always hot, and the WiFi is amazing. It’s a safe area and an above-average Hampton. If you’re traveling, I suggest stopping here.

The receptionist got us into a room within minutes after we arrived early and asked about checking in ahead of time. My toddler had just vomited in the lobby, but she immediately told us not to worry and showed so much concern for him and our other two boys. The room was beautiful and extremely clean, and every interaction after that was just as positive. They helped our vacation start on a great note. I wish I could give this hotel more than five stars, especially for the staff. My husband and I plan to return on future trips, and I’ve already recommended the place to family and friends. Your staff is amazing!
