I was glad I got tired here during a long drive. The front desk woman was very nice, and the clean room had a comfortable bed with three fluffy pillows on each bed. There was a little wear, but the carpet and bathroom were clean, the shower had hot water, and the TV was okay. I was very happy with the stay. I ate at the adjoining restaurant, Los MaGuey. It looked great, the carnitas were very good, and my server was lovely. This is a good stop, with Cracker Barrel across the street and Longhorn Steakhouse within walking distance.

It’s now the Econolodge, and the place has been updated. It’s clean, quiet, has plenty of parking, and the grounds are maintained. There’s free wifi and breakfast. They have handicap accessible rooms and rooms for people traveling with pets, as well as rooms for pets only.

The room was fine, but the breakfast was just toast and instant oatmeal. Their rates must be low enough that they don't offer a military discount, either. You get what you pay for.

We checked the room before bringing our luggage up and saw bed bugs crawling all over the mattress. I showed the woman a video when I asked for my money back. She just said, “Oh, bed bugs,” and refunded me without hesitation. Stay away from this bed bug place!

I like this hotel so much better than the other one we looked at. I'm celebrating my birthday here, and that's what's up!
