Americas Best Value Inn Mojave

I appreciated being able to check in at 3 a.m., and the staff were still very friendly. The room was clean, the area felt safe, and the price was excellent. I wanted somewhere inexpensive and safe with a clean bed, and that's what I got. There was a mini fridge in the room too. The bed was pretty hard, though it didn't bother me much. I rarely find a hotel bed I like, no matter the price.

The restrooms were worn and need extensive remodeling. There was hair behind the bed around the headboard, and that area was dirty. I usually pull the bed or headboard away to check back there. The carpets were terrible, the beds were awful, and the whole place smelled musty. It needs serious carpet cleaning or a lot of Febreze. I'd never recommend this hotel to anyone I care about. You'd be better off sleeping in your car.

I stay here for work and generally find it a good place, with friendly staff for the most part. Recently they lost my reservation, and I nearly lost my room, but they quickly found me another one. The new people don't seem to know the computer system. My travel partners and I have always split the room, as we've done for the last two months, but I was told we couldn't. They need training, and the hotel could do a better job keeping track of reservations.

The management couldn't find my online reservation, but they worked hard to help us anyway. They were kind and accommodating with my twin daughters, even letting us stay and swim after checkout. They also offered a continental breakfast, although it wasn't advertised. The room and bathroom were clean, and the beds were cozy and comfortable. For $60, it was an awesome deal. It's not a luxury hotel, but it's kid and pet friendly. I was pleasantly surprised by the service and quality at Americas Best Value Inn in the Mojave.
