It was quiet and warm, but the room was cramped and worn, and the photos gave a misleading impression of the place. The neighborhood wasn't great either. With the $100 dog fee, my one-night bill came to $221. This hotel really needs an upgrade.

Across the parking lot, there are grocery and drug stores, plus Wendy's and Taco Bell, all within walking distance. My rooms here have been much the same: clean, with comfortable towels and washcloths. The room uses a lot of good materials, though little things sometimes need fixing or have been repaired with mediocre workmanship. It's decent overall. See my video. If you need everything just right, this may not suit you. I've never had a major problem here, only minor ones. If those don't bother you and you're trying to save money, it's worth considering.

The manager's reply to my survey is what pushed me to leave a one-star review. I mentioned the $100 pet fee, and got an email saying, "We aim to maintain a clean environment for all of our guest." That didn't address what I said at all. I want a clean motel too, like anyone else, but that doesn't justify another $100 for one night. I'd usually give a stay like this three stars. It was okay, neither awful nor great, but the fee made it $221 for a mediocre motel. I understand charging for damage or excessive mess if a pet causes it. If my dog makes a mess, charge me. But charging every pet owner $100, when the extra work may just be another vacuuming, is excessive. I normally stay at Wyndham properties, where I've never paid more than $30 for a pet. After this, I won't stay at a Comfort Inn again. I wouldn't have gone to Google with a one-star review if management hadn't sent such an irritating response. Poorly handled.

My mom stayed for a few days and felt safe. There's a continental breakfast every day at 6am. No complaints.
