Bella Capri Inn

The location is excellent and the service was nice, but I wouldn’t stay here again because of the room. There was a constant sewer smell, apparently from badly vented plumbing. They tried to cover it with an oil diffuser, which left a toxic smell in the room and fabrics.

The front desk host was really nice, and the room was clean enough, but I wasn’t impressed overall. This feels more like a small, old-school motor inn than the reviews led me to expect, and I found many reviews inaccurate. Cars park right outside the rooms, and it was noisy both outside and from people above us. We couldn’t open the bathroom window because cigarette smoke kept coming in. The neighborhood behind the property didn’t seem great, and with a dog there’s absolutely nowhere to take them to do their business. The mattress felt old, springy, and uncomfortable, and the shower took about 5 minutes to get hot. For the price, I’d probably look at another option next time.

The location was just right, in Old Town Camarillo, about 5 minutes from the Outlets and with easy freeway access. Our room at Bella Capri Inn was spotless, cozy, and comfortable, and it was quiet at night, so we got a great rest. Noemi was so welcoming when we arrived, even though we checked in just 10 minutes before 10 PM after a long drive. Everything made for a pleasant, relaxing stay. I’d give it 10 stars if I could! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Old Town Camarillo has changed a lot since it used to be really rundown. Over the last 20 or so years it’s been revitalized, with cute little restaurants and people walking around. I grew up here and came back for my 40th high school reunion. This is my second time staying at this reasonably priced little place, and it’s a charming old motel. It’s basic, with no pool or hot tub, just a simple drive-in motel, but it’s adorable.
