Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Camarillo

The gym was a nice extra, and it was well maintained. Staff were really friendly and welcoming, the room was spotless and comfortable, and breakfast tasted fresh and great. I had a great stay and would definitely come back.

I’ve stayed at other Fairfield inns, but this one’s breakfast was very basic. It was all made from frozen food, and the same things were served over the few days we were there. The chocolate milk may have gone bad, since it gave me diarrhea a couple of times. The room also felt humid and musty, and in the middle of the night, lying in bed, I could smell urine. I’ve stayed at plenty of hotels, and something was definitely wrong with this room.

We’ve been here more than a week while my husband is in town for work, so the room’s functional design matters. It has a beautiful bathroom vanity, plus a convenient coffee machine, microwave, and mini-fridge. Breakfast is very nice, with a great space to eat, and there’s water and coffee available all day. I also like the small pool area, hot tub, and fire pit. There’s a restaurant across the street and a bar. Breakfast is hot, though I might have given five stars if the hours went until 10:30 or 11. It’s a nice standard room, but nothing beyond what I’ve described. I doubt you’ll be disappointed unless you’re looking for a resort or an oceanfront stay.

It was an extremely terrible experience. We were told to leave immediately over a false complaint, and they could have checked the cameras to see that nothing happened. Breakfast wasn’t great, the eggs were a bit slimy, and the water pressure was nonexistent.
