Good Nite Inn Camarillo

The hotel was clean, but dingy and dark, and the whole stay felt like a waste of time. The pictures were misleading: the rooms are drab beige, not the sleek modern white shown, and there’s very little in the way of amenities. I had to stay for a week for work, and it felt like little more than a flop house. There’s only a mini fridge in the room, no microwave or coffee maker, and it’s too small to hold much. Making food in the room was hard, which matters when my per diem only covers $35 a day. There’s no breakfast either, so I wouldn’t want to stay long. The bathroom had exactly one towel, and the pillows and blankets felt like a sack of laundry, with no support or substance. The hotel laundry was terrible too. It was nominally cheaper than the local laundromat, but they provided neither soap nor change for the two machines. The beds were uncomfortable, like sleeping on a plank without mattress toppers. I was in a road-facing room and got traffic noise from 101 all night. The walls were so thin I could hear people in the next room talking at normal volume. It’s cheap in every sense of the word. Maybe it suits insomniacs who barely plan to be in the room, but if you’re going to Camarillo, I’d keep traveling away from this hotel.

For an overnight stop, the location is handy, close enough to walk to the Camarillo outlets. The beds were comfortable, and the sheets smelled and felt clean. The customer service was great, and the staff were helpful. The one issue was the broken showerhead. There was a towel over it to keep it from leaking, which made it look like the problem was due to be fixed, but maintenance should fix it instead of covering it with a towel. Aside from that, it was a nice stay.

The property looked well cared for and safe, and the room was clean. At check-in, the courteous young woman asked whether I preferred a ground floor or an upper floor, which I usually have to request myself. Getting here from the freeway was easy. I’d recommend it and would definitely stay again if I’m in the area.

The area is quiet, nice, safe, and clean, and the staff are very friendly. Gabriel at the front desk is especially kind and friendly. We need more people like him. From check-in through checkout, everything went smoothly. This is the best place to stay. Thank you for everything ❤️
