The room was spacious, with plenty of room for luggage, and the mini-kitchen had a full-size fridge, a large microwave, and a sink. There weren't any plates, cups, or silverware. Two grocery stores are just down the road, useful for picking up breakfast things, instant coffee, spoons, Kleenex, and whatever else you need. Restaurants and a donut place are close by. We liked Country Cookin Diner. Cocoa Village's shops and restaurants are nearby, and it took about 21 minutes to reach my step daughter and her family on Merritt Island. The rates were much better than the hotels near Port Canaveral's cruise port. It's just two years old, the climate control worked great, and the hard floors had no mildew smell, which is common in that area. Bring slippers. Cable TV had lots of channels, including TCM and the news channels. There were a few drawbacks. We could hear dogs barking in nearby rooms and people walking overhead, though earplugs made it manageable. There's no continental breakfast, but lobby coffee is available from 7-10 a.m., and a snack machine near the lobby takes cards. The towels and washcloths are cheap, though usable, and you can ask for extras. The narrow tub is slippery for showers. We used a towel for traction, and rubber mats in all showers would help. I assume only accessible rooms have grab bars. There was no Kleenex or hair dryer, though we asked for a dryer. The white vinyl blinds let in lots of morning light. Also, someone else had been checked in under our reservation, so the front desk needs to be more careful, though it worked out okay. We would stay again. I booked through a third-party app, but changes are hard that way, so next time I'll book with Choice Hotels. Hope this helps.

The rooms were tidy, with a fridge, microwave, and stove. You have to pay a bit for foodware, so I'd bring your own, along with dental hygiene supplies. It's near I-95, which makes getting around easier. There are good restaurants nearby, most no more than 15 minutes away, and downtown is about 10 minutes from the hotel.

I wouldn't have booked if I'd known this was a place where people stay for extended periods. Around 1 a.m., right when I arrived, a resident started harassing us to party with him. He said he'd recently gotten out of jail and went into details I didn't want to hear. The aluminum bed frames clanked whenever we moved, the room smelled musty, and we got only two thin towels. There wasn't even coffee. I found another place down the road with free breakfast and more. At least the ending worked out well.

This feels like a workers' motel, with lots of construction contractors, many of whom didn't speak English. It was sterile and bare bones, with no carpet, beds on stands like a college dorm, a desk chair as the only extra furniture, and one harsh overhead light. We bought four lamps for the kitchenette, shared nightstand, bathroom, and the area near the open coat rack. The electronic key system was down for two days, so we couldn't get into our room without finding staff. Not having control over the room felt very unsafe. We changed rooms as soon as we saw particles on the sheets. The second suite had a peculiar stain on the bedspread, but we were too tired to move again. Too cheap, and I would never stay here again. This is not at all for vacationers looking for comfortable accommodations.

The rooms were clean, but getting a good night's sleep won't happen if someone is above you on the second floor. From 3 a.m. until 10 a.m. we heard stomping and hard footsteps, like they were marching in the U.S. Army. We also had to take cold showers because there was no hot water in the rooms around 7 p.m. The front desk closes at 11 p.m. and opens again at 7 a.m., so if you're locked out of your room or the building, nobody is there to let you in. Sad, because this is a new hotel. If things aren't fixed quickly, it'll turn into a one-star "Motel."
