Fireside Inn on Moonstone Beach

There was a small hiccup with my room assignment, but the front desk apologized and moved me right away to a much nicer room. Everyone I dealt with, at reception and elsewhere, was cheerful, friendly, and helpful. The location was great, the room was nice, and I’d happily stay again. Thanks to all the staff on property!

The ocean view from the outdoor patio was one of the peaceful highlights of my stay. There were two chairs facing the water, and I loved sitting there. My room at Fireside Inn in Cambria was spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated, and cozy, with a very comfortable bed and a fireplace that made the coastal escape feel extra relaxing. From the start, the hotel communicated well and made everything easy and welcoming. The staff were incredibly friendly and made me feel at home. I had a truly wonderful weekend and will definitely come back. Highly recommend.

We’d stayed here before and had a great experience, but next time we’ll look for another option. The place looks pretty, though it felt fairly basic once we were there. Our room heater didn’t work properly, so we were cold. They gave us a space heater, but then the room got too hot and the temperature kept swinging, which was uncomfortable. We also asked for the room to be cleaned, but it never was, so we came back to an unrefreshed room. That’s a big perk of staying in a hotel. Our key also wouldn’t open the pool gate, which was another inconvenience.

Check-in and checkout went well, but there were several inconveniences during the stay. The room had a lot of sandy dust and several mosquitoes, which we killed ourselves. They offer morning coffee, but the urn ran out twice, and the creamer also ran out twice without being refilled. A young man went to get more creamer and never came back. We set an appointment time for room cleaning, but nobody showed up, so we got up earlier than we wanted and left the room to give them a chance to clean. There’s more, but I don’t want to go on.
