After our busy wedding day, we arrived late at the Hawthorne B&B, and the owners couldn’t greet us in person. They’d left clear directions to our room and other helpful information, though. We got the most private option, the O'Hara guest room, and it was perfect. We also loved getting to enjoy the old home’s beauty. We had to head out for the final stop on our honeymoon, so we missed the breakfast everyone raves about. I can vouch for the delicious smell that drifted into our room early that morning, at least. We’d love to come back soon and enjoy the whole experience.

I’m glad we’re staying a second night. The view is gorgeous, and the hosts are so nice and cook really delicious food. Each bedroom has its own bathroom, with plenty of towels and snacks. The window units let you set each room’s temperature just right, which is great since I like it cold at night.

My daughter and I came for a conference in June 2013 and spent a week here. It felt like staying with friends who really care, with the comfort of a four-star hotel. Ron and Linda were wonderful, and we absolutely loved the place. We’ll be back next year, and I’d recommend the Hawthorne Park Bed and Breakfast to anyone staying in the Columbus area.

We needed to be near the Franklin Park Conservatory, so the location worked perfectly. The owners were incredibly accommodating, and we loved hearing about the history of this lovely mid-1800s house, where each bedroom is named for a former owner. The food was top-notch, and my mother said her shower was the best she’d ever had. Such a wonderful Bed&Breakfast experience. We’d definitely recommend it ❤️

Our room, the Hanford room, was surprisingly spacious and had a fireplace, couch, TV, and large private bathroom. It was clean, cozy, and beautifully designed, and for what we paid, it felt like a great deal. The house itself is a beautiful, clean early-1900s home, and my wife and I felt comfortable there. The owners made us feel welcome right away. We were greeted at the door, and parking is at the back in an enclosed lot. There’s also a coded lock system, which made the place feel secure. The first floor has several lovely shared spaces, including a breakfast nook, kitchen, dining room, sitting area, and living room. Breakfast was amazing. I had the spinach quiche and my wife got the crepes, and we both loved our meals. We later learned Ron had spent most of his life in the restaurant business, which made sense. The owners are a lovely couple who put a lot of effort into making the stay enjoyable. We loved it and can’t recommend it enough.
