I lived there for more than five years. The previous owners were great, but things went downhill after the new owners took over. They wouldn’t spray for bugs, and no one came to ask if I wanted my room cleaned. A bathroom leak took two weeks to fix, and they left two holes in the ceiling. That happened last year, and the holes were still there when I moved yesterday. I asked for a new AC two years ago, and it’s still broken. When my fridge stopped working, it took a month to get another one. There was black mold on the curtains. Each time I was told they’d fix the problem, but they never did. A true slum experience, and they’re slumlords.

I’ve stayed at this motel many times over the past few years, and now I’ve gone two visits in a row without hot water for a shower. I specifically raised this issue when I checked in yesterday afternoon, so I’m really unhappy that it’s happened again. Someone please contact the managers and get me some hot water.

Roaches and bedbugs seemed to be sharing the room, with holes in the walls, floors, and ceiling too. It’s the nastiest place I’ve ever seen or stayed in. The owners couldn’t speak English. One day I came back from work to find the toilet had overflowed into the room. The police had been called, and apparently everyone staying there flushed their drugs at once, which messed up the plumbing. I also asked the owner for change for the drink machine and was told there wasn’t any. After I found change, the machine took my money, and I couldn’t get a refund because they had no change.

The bed was fairly comfortable and the water pressure was excellent, but the room hadn’t been cleaned. There was no phone or smoke detector, the walls were filthy, electrical wires were exposed, and the bathtub drained slowly. The people next door were rude, fighting and making noise all night, and nobody did anything. I couldn’t plug in even one thing without all the power going out.

The manager was helpful and polite when I checked in, and my first night was quiet. The room is clean and has no bugs. It’s a no-frills inn with a microwave, dorm-size fridge, older 19-inch TV with basic cable, and a king bed with standard motel toiletries. The bed isn’t uncomfortable, though it definitely isn’t a pillow-top. WiFi is weak on this side of the building. It costs $225.00 a week, with a $10.00 surcharge for paying by credit or debit card. I love the bottle opener and corkscrew attached to the bathroom door trim. It feels very Johnny Depp Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas.
