Hampton Inn Camden

The location, close to the interstate, is the best thing about this hotel. I’ve stayed here several times, and it was great when it first opened, but it seems to get worse over the years. I check in on the Hilton App, yet the digital key never appears, so I always have to stop at the desk. They can’t explain the problem, though after I go there the key somehow works. On my latest stay, bathroom tile had come off the wall and was lying on the floor. I photographed it, showed the clerk, and emailed the picture, but nobody at the desk contacted me during my stay. I’ll have to reconsider staying here again. I really don’t think the staff cares about its customers.

The rooms are well cared for, and the staff are polite. Breakfast options are limited, though the coffee is amazing. It’s a peaceful, calm setting, and a couple of outdoor benches would be nice for relaxing and taking it in.

The staff were awesome and the amenities decent, and we chose this hotel for its location and Hilton Honors discount. The place looks clean, but it could use a deep clean. There was dog hair all over the pullout couch, and they don’t wash or change the comforters, just the sheets.

My man and I had a king room, and the layout was so good. We could get cozy on the couch for a movie, then swivel the TV toward us when we went to bed. The bathroom was beautiful, with a sexy shower and enough room for both of us to get ready in the morning. Probably one of the nicest and sexiest rooms I’ve stayed in that wasn’t on an island. We come to Camden at least four times a year, and this will be our only place to stay from now on.
