Rodeway Inn & Suites Las Vegas Strip

The room was clean and decent for the price. We slept well, the bed was comfortable, and every appliance in my room worked. I didn’t find any bugs, even though I always check, including at high-end hotels. It’s a great location, about a 10 minutes walk to the Strip. The pool and hot tub could’ve been cleaner. There were bandaids and dead bees in them, and breakfast options were limited, so we ended up eating somewhere else. The hotel could use a few upgrades.

For one night, especially with pet-friendly hotels nearby costing more, it worked well enough for the price. The beds were comfortable and things were clean, and it was about a 10-minute walk to the Strip. I was relieved that the dirty towels and sheets mentioned in online reviews weren't an issue for us. Still, the building is pretty worn: carpet was coming apart, paint was peeling, trim was missing, and the doors were chipped along the bottom. Our toilet backed up and overflowed, and the front desk barely seemed surprised. The old CRT TV cut off half the picture. Breakfast was awful, with Tang, frozen Eggo waffles and pancakes, rice, and oatmeal we couldn't eat. I wouldn't choose it for a whole vacation.

The front desk staff were friendly, and the location was convenient, but I wouldn't stay here again. We were there five nights on the third floor, and the elevator never came back into service, despite being told at check-in it would be fixed the following day. Our sheets weren't changed daily as we'd expected. We kept getting two bath towels, one hand towel, and one washcloth; asking housekeeping for at least two washcloths didn't change that. Breakfast was so disappointing we only tried it once.

I slept fine, the shower was clean, the air conditioning worked great, and I had no trouble with the front desk. I didn't see any roaches. A couple of the three pillows had proper cases, though the pillows felt stuffed with old towels. The breakfast was lousy, but I don't expect much from hotel breakfast anyway. There were stains in a lot of places, the towels were very thin, and the door wouldn't latch unless I yanked the handle hard. That left me worried about security. It's adequate if you keep your expectations low.
