The location could make this a great option, especially with so few hotels around, but the place is an absolute dump. Our suite was advertised with a sofa bed, yet all it had was a chair and ottoman. There was dog hair across the carpet despite the no-pets policy, along with dirt, mold, and a musty smell. I went to the locked front office and rang the bell for ten minutes, then tried calling the desk, but no one answered. After I waited about half an hour, the staff member finally appeared. He said we'd have to rent a rollaway bed, and when I said the room was too dirty to stay in, he told me nothing else was available. He eventually offered a refund. They should rename this place America's Worst.

The beds were decent, and the staff were fairly nice, but that's about all I can say for the place. The bathroom was disgusting, the floors were dirty, and leftover food and drinks were in the fridge when we arrived. The room felt dreary and sketchy. Our TV wasn't connected, and the first time we mentioned it, the owner just offered remotes. We had to call him back up; then he saw the problem and got someone else to fix it. When they tried turning on the lights, only one worked, and the corner lamp cord had been cut. He just laughed. Only one of our outlets worked, so we could plug in one thing at a time. I had several bites the next day, and based on other reviews, I'm sure they were bed bugs. There were signs for “hot breakfast” despite there being no breakfast or restaurant. This felt like a movie motel, and the Super 8 seems fancy by comparison. We stayed because of an emergency, but the whole experience was awful. It's got to be the worst hotel in VA. There are other nearby places at similar prices with much better cleanliness and quality. Don't stay here.

We booked for five people, expecting two queen beds and a pullout, but got two queen beds and a chair in a joining room. We spent from 7 to 8 pm outside the check-in door, ringing for hotel management to help. The floors were covered in dog hair, and there was something running down the walls. Nasty and unprofessional. I wouldn't recommend this dump to anyone.

The owner was kind and accommodating, and this was the best-priced place to stay in town. I just needed a place to sleep, shower, and use as a temporary home base, and it worked exactly for that. Even though the place was pretty full, I worried it might get noisy, but the other guests were quiet and respectful. I'd stay again.
